Congratulations to Api Pewhairangi, who has been named in the 24-man Ireland squad to play in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup!

Api, who is eligible to play through his Irish grandmother is one of four NRL players to be named in the team, to be coached by Mark Aston.

The remaining squad is made up of Super League players and Ireland Championship players.

Ireland begins its World Cup campaign on October 28 in Rochdale, where they face the side that eliminated them from the 2008 tournament, Fiji.
