We caught up with Junior Paulo after the Junior Kangaroos scored a come-from-behind 38-26 win over the Junior Kiwis at WIN Jubilee Oval.

After scoring a try and assisting another, Junior was very happy to be wearing the Green and Gold!

"I'm excited, overwhelmed, and glad we came away with a win after a big week in camp," he said.

"I didn't think I would ever score a try being in the front row, I'm more than happy just to score that try!"

After going into the main break down 20-10, Junior says he's proud of the boys being abel to regroup and earn the win.

"We came in at half time and we had to restructure what we were doing and stick to the game plan, and give them fewer opportunities to score," Junior said.

"And once we did we came away with a good win!"

Junior played alongside fellow Parramatta teammates Vai Toutai and Joseph Ualesi, and against Zach Dockar-Clay and Takai Moeakiola: the most players from a single Australian club taking the field.

"It was strange - I was looking out for them on the field! Zach got me good coming out of dummy half, put a right foot step on me," Junior laughed.

"Good on them or making the Junior Kiwis, and big ups to our boys for making it on the Kangaroos. I can't wait to celebrate tonight with the boys!"
