Liam Foran will return to the NRL after a year playing in the United Kingdom, joining the Dyldam Parramatta Eels for 2014!

We caught up with our new utility recruit, who says hes keen to get away from the freezing British weather and don the Blue and Gold jersey.

Its been a long time for me, Ive been over in the Super League playing with the Salford Reds, he said.

Im excited to get the opportunity to come over to Parramatta and hopefully have a good year.

After getting to know his teammates at the first training sessions this week, Foran says hes excited for a good season ahead.

It was a good day yesterday meeting all the boys and seems like a really good club thats on the up, he said.

Having previously known Head Coach Brad Arthur with his time at the Sea Eagles, he says hes very positive hes the man to lead the Eels to success.

Brad was over at Manly when I was there a couple of years ago, and hes got a lot of respect from the senior boys over there, he said.

Ive had a bit to do with him, so Im looking forward to seeing what he can do here.

Pre-season got underway this week with the boys being put through their paces in the wet weather - but Liam says theres a great energy among the team.

I suppose theres a lot of running and everyones competing for spots, so its an exciting period and an exciting time - so well just see what happens.
