Two Dyldam Parramatta Eels players have been selected to attend a special Under 20s Origin Pathway Camp, under the guidance of Blues Coach Laurie Daley.

Kelepi Tanginoa and Ryan Matterson will attend the two-day camp with 35 other up-and-comers next week, as Daley prepares for the 2014 State of Origin period and beyond.

The players will learn about the history of State of Origin, and the camp will include individual positional sessions, team drills and recovery.

NSW Origin Coach Laurie Daley says its an exciting time for the future of the NSW Blues.

The emphasis of this camp is on what it takes to become a successful Origin player and team member, he said.

Its about learning the values and trademarks that I want the NSW team to continue to adopt.

Kelepi Tanginoa has in 2013 been selected for the Under 20s State of Origin side which defeated Queensland, while for Ryan Matterson its his first representative selection since making the Under 18s NSW Combined Catholic Colleges team in 2011.

I would like to continue this important pathways program for the players to reach their full potential and play for the NSW Blues, Daley said.

Congratulations to Kelepi and Ryan, its a huge honour to be selected and were excited to continue to see your growth as footballers over 2014!
