The Dyldam Parramatta Eels and the Parramatta Leagues Club offered support to The Cumberland Womens Health Centre on Tuesday 26th November for the launch of their publication, Women of Domestic Violence.

Parramatta Eels players Mitch Allgood and Junior Paulo presented the not-for-profit organisation with a generous donation from the Parramatta Leagues Club.

The Cumberland Womens Health Centre has a particular emphasis on challenging violence against women.

The majority of the work done by the centre involves supporting and advocating women who have experienced violence.

The Centre was initially established by a group of local women in 1990 and continues to provide complimentary health practitioners, social workers, counselling and group meetings for the community.

Supporting local community organisations such as the Womens Health Centre is important for the Parramatta Eels.

Mitch and Junior were both very excited to attend the book launch at the Parramatta Leagues Club. The Leagues Club itself was providing a donation to help the Centre continue its important work and publish further material in future.
