Parramatta Eels great Nathan Hindmarsh has joined forces with NRL legend Brad Fittler to launch the 2014 Hogs for Homeless motorbike ride in Sydney.

The 3,000km, 12-day trip will raise money to tackle the growing problem of homelessness in New South Wales.

“It’s about 110,000 people who are living on the streets and 30% of that are teenagers,” Fittler said.

Hindmarsh and Fittler will be joined by Ian Schubert on the trip around country and coastal NSW, for the second annual ride.

“We start of here on Sunday morning, head south to Moruya, then head west to Jindabyne, go all the way up to Armidale, and head up to the Quicksilver Pro a bit later on,” Hindmarsh said.

“Then we end up back here [at Allianz Stadium] on Thursday night, the first kick off of the NRL season.”

Harley Davidson has generously donated a brand-new, one of a kind XL 1200CB bike to be auctioned off, for $10 a ticket.
