The Dyldam Parramatta Eels are looking to continue their strong trials forms leading into the 2014 season when they take on the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval tomorrow night.

The Eels have had a positive start to the pre-season, with a 60-12 win over the Wests Tigers in Alice Springs, and then backing it up by winning their Pool Green at the NRL Auckland Nines event last week.

It’s the final hit-out for both teams before the Premiership season begins in a fortnight, with both sides bringing strong teams in to test final combinations at the end of pre-season.

For the Eels, fans will be able to see star fullback Jarryd Hayne in his first appearance of the season, as well as forward David Gower and centre Will Hopoate playing in Eels colours against their former club.

Parramatta Head Coach Brad Arthur will also be at the helm against his former side, adding extra rivalry to the Brookvale Oval clash.

It’s not just Eels players taking on their old teams; for the Sea Eagles, Cheyse Blair will take the field against the Eels in the centres.

The Sea Eagles will be without Jamie Lyon, David Williams and Steve Matai, but starting halves combination Daly Cherry-Evans and Keiran Foran will play for the Manly outfit, as well as Brett Stewart, Anthony Watmough and Justin Horo.

The Eels and Sea Eagles will return to Brookvale Oval in Round 3 of the Premiership season - in just over a month  - so the trial game will certainly be an attempt for both teams to stamp their intentions on the year ahead.
