All 16 NRL clubs and 600 club Members from across the game have officially launched the 2014 Telstra Premiership season at a glitzy celebration on Sydney Harbour overnight.
A lucky group of Dyldam Parramatta Eels Members attended, with Sydney Roosters captain Anthony Minichiello welcoming fans, players and administrators to what will be an action-packed year of rugby league.

Long-time Parramatta Eels Member Jason Kirkham was there to launch the year, and says he will always be a passionate fan and Member.
“I was actually signed up by Mick Cronin when I was nine years old, 37 years ago,” he said.
“So it’s been a long time, and I’ll always be a Blue and Gold fan, I bleed Blue and Gold.”
NRL CEO Dave Smith says it’s an exciting time for the game, which has seen a record surplus and investment back into the game after 2013.
“To the players, the clubs, the administrators and the fans, I say the game has never been more healthy, it’s never been so strong thanks to you, because you are the difference,” Mr Smith said.
