Dyldam Parramatta Eels five-eighth Corey Norman says the most impressive aspect of their win is their consistent efforts in defence across the park.

Norman, who played his first Premiership game wearing Blue and Gold, was happy with the 36-16 result over the Warriors.

“It’s always good to get away with a good win with a new club, and it’s a good win by the boys, we stayed in the grind, that’s the most positive thing,” he said.

“It’s very exciting - we’ve worked on our attack all pre-season - and our defence, and both of those showed tonight, which was good.”

Norman also spoke about his new partnership with halfback Luke Kelly, which showed promising signs.

“I thought it went really well, obviously as the year goes it’ll get better - so [there are] exciting times ahead,” he said.
