Dyldam Parramatta Eels Co-Captain says the side is ready to show they’re a different team to the one that was heavily defeated last week by the Roosters - and is prepared to lead from the front against the Sea Eagles.

The Blue and Gold boys travel to Brookvale Oval tomorrow at 3pm to play the Sea Eagles, in what is always a tough encounter.

“I think our defence will definitely be different; we kind of let the wheels fall of the wagon a bit last week and we want to go back out there and have a good bounce back factor and put in a performance that we can be proud of,” Mannah said.

“We’ve worked really hard on improving our defence, and the little things we did against the Warriors really well that fell away from us last Saturday night.”

Mannah says as Co-Captain, it’s not about talking up the other boys, but showing by example.

“I think as one of the senior players it’s not what I say, it’s more about showing some actions, so personally I want to have my best game so others can follow and be strong in defence as well.”

The Manly side is strengthened by the return of Glenn Stewart into the starting line-up, and Mannah says they will be tough competition.

“They’re a great team and have strike right across the park,” he said.

“Obviously their forwards set a really good platform for them, so we’ve got to make sure we’re really setting them up in the middle of the field and setting a good platform for our backs for them to work off.”
