Prop Mitch Allgood says while the Dyldam Parramatta Eels' goal for this NRL Premiership season is the top 8, the team’s focus remains on the full 80 minutes each week.

“It’s always a good feeling after a win, but especially one like that: we didn’t just put the cue in the rack,” Allgood said.

“We kept going the whole 80 [minutes], and the boys took a lot from that; it’s a good sign moving forward.”

“We’re just building belief through our actions [each week] and it’s definitely a different vibe around the joint.”

“Our focus is each week as it comes. Brisbane this week up there is gonna be tough.”

“But the ultimate goal is to be in the top eight.”

And when it comes to support from the Blue and Gold Army, Allgood says he doesn’t feel any pressure from talk about a top eight finish by the Eels.

Instead, he credits the support from the fans with helping to drive a strong performance from the team at home.

“We want them to get excited,” Allgood said.

“We love coming to Parramatta when it’s a packed house, so we want all the fans to get excited.”

The Eels’ next home game will be at Pirtek Stadium, Parramatta, on Saturday April 12, as they take on the Sydney Roosters for the second time this season. Click through to buy your tickets today and support the mighty Blue and Gold!
