Dyldam Parramatta Eels forward Junior Paulo says it’s “everything” to have fulfilled a boyhood dream to play at Suncorp Stadium, after the Blue and Gold’s 25-18 win over the Brisbane Broncos last night.

Paulo, who was called into the NRL team for the first time this season, says it was a great night to be part of - especially getting the win.

“For me it’s always been a childhood dream to play at Suncorp, so I was happy, and coming against the Broncos, they’re a strong outfit, so credit to them, but most of the credit to our boys at the back end of the game,” Paulo said.

“Hopefully there are many more [wins] to come from here!”

In a game that showed many of the boys’ talents, Paulo says there was a great attitude in the entire team to restricting the Broncos attacking players.

“I think our defence stood out the most for us, everyone was turning out for each other which was really good,” he said.

“It is exciting, everyone's excited; it was tough but we managed to get there in the end, so we’re all happy.”

The Eels return to Pirtek Stadium next week to take on the Sydney Roosters for the second time this season, and are looking to avenge their loss in Round 2.
