Dyldam Parramatta Eels prop Peni Terepo says the Blue and Gold will be counting on a vocal home crowd on Saturday night to buoy them as they take on the Sydney Roosters for the second time in four weeks.

The young forward says it will be a wiser Eels side that takes on the reigning premiers for the Jack Gibson Cup at Pirtek Stadium, Parramatta.

“That game [against the Roosters in Round 2] was pretty disappointing,” Terepo said.

“But we’ve learned a lot from that game, and after that game we’ve come out with better efforts.”

“The vibe in the joint is just awesome,” he added.

“Everyone’s happy, everyone’s got a spring in their step and everyone’s just enjoying their job at the moment, from the coaching staff to the players.”

“We’ve just got to stick to the game plan for this weekend, nothing much has changed [from Round 5].”

In the lead in to the Round 6 Jack Gibson Cup, Terepo said it’s a boost for the side to feel the support of the Blue and Gold Army, including the big turn out of fans at the Eels’ signing session in Church Street Mall on Wednesday night.

“It’s good to see all the fans out here for us tonight,” Terepo said.

“It just shows how proud they are of us, after sticking by us even though we had a bad past couple of seasons.”

“And especially at a home game, having the crowd behind us, will be a big support for us. Hopefully that’ll carry us through for a good game.”

In the lead up to Saturday's game, the Eels are offering a 2-for-1 ticket deal until Thursday night, April 10: simply select the "Corner Post Promo" to get 2 adult tickets in any of the four corner bays for just $30.
