Dyldam Parramatta Eels forward Darcy Lussick has gone from watching TV on the couch straight into the City Origin side this week as a late call-up for the annual Country v City match on Sunday.

With Sharks second-rower Wade Graham ruled out through injury, Lussick headed straight to Coogee to join teammate Will Hopoate in City camp before travelling to Dubbo to take on the Country side at Apex Oval.

“I was just at home watching some TV last night,” Lussick said.

“I haven’t had much time to think about it! I’m obviously very excited.”

“We had a light team run, so it was good to get in and meet the boys and get into a bit of a routine.”

“I’m pretty honoured to be in the team and hopefully I can go alright on Sunday.”

The 2014 AAMI Country v City match kicks off at 3.00pm on Sunday, May 4, at Apex Oval in Dubbo. Click through to buy tickets!
