The NSW VB Blues, including fullback Jarryd Hayne, have hit the field at Suncorp Stadium for their final training run ahead of Wednesday night's State of Origin opener.

Looking to end eight years of Maroons Origin dominance, the Blues face a daunting task as they run out in front of a vocal Queensland crowd for the first game of the series.

Coach Laurie Daley says afyer the team's preparation in Coffs Harbour and Brisbane, he's confident his charges are ready for the contest.

"We’ve had a really good build up," Daley said.

"We know it’s a big task, a big job in front of us, but we’ve prepared very well, and we’ll go out there and give it our best."

"We can go out there and give it a red hot crack."
