Dyldam Parramatta Eels centre Will Hopoate says Origin speculation doesn’t change the need for him to continue working on his form at Parramatta.

With centre Josh Morris set to miss to rest of the series through injury, NSW 19th man Hopoate may be the next in line for the Blues, but Hopoate was more concerned with the Eels' Round 12 loss to the Penrith Panthers on Friday night.

“It was humbling to be in camp with the team, but after tonight’s performance there are plenty of things I can do to improve.”

“[Origin]’s a whole new level of footy and I’m still adjusting back to club footy.”

“The game is a lot faster and more physical now, and I’m still trying to build on strength and bulk up a bit more.”

“I’m sure they’ll pick the best 17 for the state, I’m just focussed on putting forward a performance for Parramatta.”
