Dyldam Parramatta Eels Assistant Coach Peter Gentle is looking for the Blue and Gold to bounce back in their Round 13 match up with the North Queensland Cowboys on Friday night.

After a 38-12 defeat against the Panthers, Gentle is looking for his charges to respond with a stronger showing against the in-form Cowboys.

“We’ve shown this year each time when we’ve made a meal of the week before we’ve fought back,” Gentle said.

“We need to continue doing that against a very good Cowboys outfit. They’re going along under the radar a bit and getting the job done.”

Gentle said the mood in the Eels camp had also been boosted by three recent re-signings.

“We’ve been buoyed by the extensions of Sem Radradra, Manu Ma’u and Kenny Ddwards so it’s brought a real buzz to the camp as well.”

“We feel like we’re a lot better team this time around.”
