Isaac De Gois made his first appearance at the Dyldam Parramatta Eels offices on Monday before hitting the training field for the first time on Tuesday in his new colours.

And despite not knowing any of the Eels players and staff personally, the chance to join the Blue and Gold mid-season was one De Gois couldn’t pass up.

“It’s very exciting,” De Gois said.

“It’s a great opportunity for myself so I’m just really looking forward to it.”

“I don’t know any players, but I do know Steve Murphy and Pete Gentle: they coached me back in the day at junior footy .”

“It was unfortunate how Peatsy went down, so my manager got in contact with me and it all happened in the matter of a week or so.”

“I had a quick chat to [Brad Arthur] on the phone and I’m looking forward to working with him and learning a lot more. Expectation-wise I just want to help Parra out and do the best I can for myself and for the team.”
