Dyldam Parramatta Eels centre Willie Tonga has been named in the Queensland Maroons squad for Game Two of this year's Holden State of Origin series.

Tonga made his last appearance for the Maroons in 2011, and after missing much of 2013 through injury, has made a huge impact so far for the Blue and Gold in the 2014 season.

The experienced centre's combination with winger Semi Radradra on the left edge of the Eels attack has seen Radradra score 12 tries in just 12 games, and Tonga run in two tries of his own.

Tonga will join the Maroons squad in camp this week, with Coach Mal Meninga yet to name his final 17 for Game Two.

Update: Josh Papalii was originally named in the squad, taking it to 22 men, but has since been ruled out with injury.
