Dyldam Parramatta Eels forward Pauli Pauli has credited Head Coach Brad Arthur with his improving performances on the field for the Blue and Gold.

The young forward made his debut in just Round 4 this season, and his game time has been steadily increasing week-to-week.

“I’m trying to work on my game fitness,” Pauli said.

“It’s good that he’s leaving me out there (the coach). When I first debuted it was short minutes but he’s been working me every week and giving me longer minutes.”

“Coach told me to back my abilities so it’s good to play my own game and feel comfortable on the field.”

And with a scrappy 22-12 win under their belt, Pauli says the Blue and Gold came through on the back of attitude rather than execution.

“All the boys bonded together,” Pauli said.

“That’s why we won today because of all the efforts we put into the game.”
