Game 1, 2011: Will Hopoate scores on debut for NSW

As the clock counts down to Origin II at ANZ Stadium, Will Hopoate prepares to play his first Origin match since 2011, the year he made his debut.

As just the third-youngest player to wear the sky blue jersey - behind Brad Fittler and Jarryd Hayne - and with only 15 NRL games under his belt at the time, Hopoate's skill and composure saw him score this crucial try in the Blues' 18-8 win over the Maroons to level the series.

And while Jarryd Hayne was the first to congratulate 'Hoppa' for that 2011 try, this year they take to the field as Eels teammates. Hit play to relive Will Hopoate's try on debut!
