The Dyldam Parramatta Eels and Parramatta City Council are excited to announce the signing of an official Memorandum of Understanding to formally cement the relationship between the Western Sydney identities.

After decades of partnership, the connection between the Eels and Parramatta City will continue, with an objective of increasing innovation at both the NRL club and the Council.

“We have developed a fantastic alliance with Parramatta City over the years, and signing this Memorandum of Understanding is a great way to put pen to paper and make it official,” Dyldam Parramatta Eels CEO Scott Seward said.

“As well as being one of the biggest and most innovative councils in Sydney, Parramatta City is also one of our greatest advocates and I look forward to what we will both create together over the years to come.”

Parramatta City Council Lord Mayor, Cr John Chedid, said the Parramatta Eels have long been a shining light for the community.

“We are excited to cement what is already a very strong relationship with the Parramatta Eels,” Cr Chedid said.

“The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding provides an opportunity to not only recognise the history and achievements of the Eels’ role in our City, but to also help lay the foundation for what promises to be an exciting future that we will build together.”

“The community looks to the Eels not only as great athletes and competitors but as ambassadors and champions for our great City and the wider region.”
