Dyldam Parramatta Eels assistant coach Peter Gentle says Eels fans can expect a more determined defence from the Blue and Gold in this afternoon's Round 16 game against the Newcastle Knights.

In this week's Unibet Game Day Preview, Gentle says the Eels have been through some brutally honest video sessions to prepare for the match up.

"[Our players have] all put their hands up and it's been very positive this week," Gentle said.

"They’ve sat through some pretty ugly video sessions, and they’re not shying away from anything."

"Last week’s game, to start a game 17 sets to our 6, it makes if very difficult. We showed a lot of character to fight back twice in that game, but we need to learn to be better when we don’t have the ball."

"We’ve been practising a lot on that, learning how to play under a bit of adversity."

This week, Unibet are offering an Eels fan the chance to see their name on the back of a Parramatta jersey when we take on the Warriors in Round 18. Click through to enter!

NRL kicks off at 3pm as the Eels play the Knights, following NYC at 12.45pm.
