Tye recently turned 18 and along with the pressures of growing up Tye struggles with a kidney condition which makes his every day that little bit harder. So, a break from the constant routine and pressures of his medical condition was exactly what this family needed.
Thanks to your support, last month Tye was granted his Starlight Wish. Knowing Tye's love of footy, it was obvious it would involve NRL. After careful consideration we set out to create a dream come true for Tye. And so we did ...
For Tye's Starlight Wish, Tye and his whole family went to the State of Origin game two decider. In the lead up week, Tye and his family attended the NSW Blues' final training session where they were given privileges that even the media weren't entitled to!
Tye got to visit the locker room, observe the warm up and cool down session and join the players on the field at ANZ Stadium for a kick. Tye was even given a special origin football signed by the whole team for him to keep. We just couldn't wipe the smile off Tye's face when he met his idol, Paramatta fullback Jarryd Hayne!
In a week filled with highlights, the most special moment came when Tye's wildest dream came true. After eight long years the NSW Blues won the match to secure the title... and Tye was match side to witness it all unfold! Tye was even invited to the shed after the game to join in on the celebrations.
