The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have been defeated 48-0 by a red hot New Zealand Warriors side at Mount Smart Stadium on Saturday night.

Right form the kick off the Warriors attack was on point, as five-eighth Chad Townsend put in a bomb to force a repeat set in just the second minute, and Konrad Hurrell took advantage of the overlap on the next set to send Fusitua over for a try.

Halfback Shaun Johnson backed up his opening conversion with a grubber kick that he collected in goal for another Warriors four-pointer. And when the referee ruled the Eels had knocked on from a charge down, New Zealand took the opportunity to send Tomkins over the line for a try from close range.

Johnson helped extend the lead with a clean break from outside the 40 metre line, offloading for Konrad Hurrell to score on the right edge.

The New Zealanders piled on the points by pushing the Eels scrum, grabbing the football against the feed, and sending Sam Tomkins burrowing over for his second of the night, and the Englishman followed it up with a break and an offload for Warriors captain Simon Mannering to score.

While the Blue and Gold had its opportunities after the break, the Warriors finished out the night with four-pointers to Ben Henry under the posts, and Chad Townsend from a Mannering pass.

New Zealand Warriors - 48 (Fusitua, Johnson, Tomkins 2, Hurrell, Mannering, Henry, Townsend. Johnson: 8/8)

Dyldam Parramatta Eels - 0
