Dyldam Parramatta Eels centre Ryan Morgan says the Eels are ready to keep pushing for finals football as they head into a crucial clash with the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Friday night.

The lead up to Friday's home game at Pirtek Stadium sees Parramatta sitting 11th on the NRL ladder, tied with four other teams on 20 competition points. The logjam from 7th to 11th shows just how tight the run into September will be.

"We’re definitely not ready to lay down yet," Morgan said.

"We wouldn’t be happy with that."

"It’s probably the biggest game for us, it’s a must-win game if we want to stay in contention for finals footy and that’s what every team wants."

"We’ve had a pretty good season so far but the wins that we’ve had, we're not ready to settle yet. We want to go all the way and take it as far as we can."

"We just got to go to what we’ve achieved already and get back to that and do what works for us."
