Dyldam Parramatta Eels David Gower says the Eels need to keep their focus on the game ahead and away from the side’s recent run of losses as they prepare to face the Gold Coast Titans on Saturday night.

Friday night’s loss to the Rabbitohs in Parramatta marked a four-game losing streak for the Blue and Gold, but Gower says finals football is still a very real possibility with the right attitude.

“It’s easy to say we’ve got a few injuries but that’s not an excuse to us,” Gower said.

“There are still 7 games to go and we’re very confident if we get back to how we were playing at the start of the year, we’re going to give ourselves every chance to bet there in September.”

“The funny thing about momentum [is] it only takes one good performance and it’s back on our side.”

“We’re confident we have the players this week and everyone’s in the right frame of mind to turn the tide for us.”
