Dyldam Parramatta Eels legend Nathan Cayless says he and his former teammate Nathan Hindmarsh are loving giving back to the community this week as they visit schools and junior league clubs all over Darwin.

Cayless says the commitment to spending time in the community is a key part of the Blue and Gold’s partnership with the NT Government, and something the pair loves doing.

“We’re just having a great time,” Cayless said.

“It’s something we’re both very passionate about. We were both very fortunate to play for a long time with the Eels, but also in the game of rugby league and it’s just good to give something back.”

“We’ve been out to quite a few schools, we’ve done a couple of junior league clubs as well. It’s about building that relationship with the Northern Territory Government, and a big part of it is us spending the whole week up here, not just coming in for one or two days.”

“The kids are so good and they’re very appreciative of us bringing the game up here, everyone’s very excited about the game on thew weekend.”

“It’s been a big week and the start of a great relationship.”

The Dyldam Parramatta Eels play the Canberra Raiders at Darwin's TIO Stadium on Saturday night, kicking off at 8pm local time (8.30pm AEST).
