The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have won this year’s Race to 20K, hitting 20,312 Members tonight as we take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs!
It’s a record Membership base for the club, surpassing the 20,000 mark for the first time, and passing our goal for the 2014 season.
We couldn’t do it without each and every one of our fantastic Members who have embraced the club like never before - thank you for all your loyalty and support as we welcomed back long-term Members and introduced new Members to the Eels.
We now have the third-highest Membership base in the NRL, eclipsing our previous record of 17,206 set last season.
We’re excited to see growth in all our Membership categories, including more than 3,000 Junior Members, 1,300 Members living in the Northern Territory and almost 15,000 of our Members taking a ticketed option, guaranteeing their part in the Blue and Gold Army at one of our games.
Next Friday night, August 22, when we take on the Manly Sea Eagles, is our Member Appreciation Week, and we’ll be celebrating this milestone in lots of ways:
- One lucky Member will win the Eels’ Tata Xenon Ute, with the announcement made at the game
- 20 Members (one for every thousand!) will be a special guard of honour as the side runs out
- An enormous stock clearance sale at the Eels Store, with huge discounts on merchandise exclusive for Members
- Flags and team posters provided to Members at the gates at Pirtek Stadium (subject to availability)
