The Dyldam Parramatta Eels NYC squad will host the Manly Sea Eagles at Pirtek Stadium in an attempt to maintain their minor premiership hopes.

With the young Eels narrowly escaping defeat on Sunday at the hands of the last-placed Canterbury Bulldogs, there will be plenty to play for in order to stay in touch with the first-placed Newcastle Knights.

The Northern Beaches outfit are currently sitting out of the finals picture and with only three competitive rounds remaining in the competition their season is hanging on by a thread – relying on three consecutive wins and other results to go their way.

In one major indicator of how these two teams will face-off, the Blue and Gold have won their last three whilst the Eagles have tasted the opposite.

The Sea Eagles are coming off of a big loss to the Gold Coast Titans last weekend, suffering a 62-22 loss on Sunday afternoon after showcasing a leaky defensive effort.

Parramatta have announced two changes from their Round 23 line-up, with Dylan Izzard to make way for the return of influential half-back Zach Dockar-Clay whilst Tyrell Fuimaono will slot in for Jordan Muna.

The NYC fixture will kick off at 5:30pm on Friday night, ahead of the NRL at 7:45pm at Parramatta’s Pirtek Stadium.
