The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have today announced the signing of English rugby league player, Ben Crooks, on a two year deal.

The 21-year-old centre and wing has played the last three seasons with Hull FC in Super League, and will join the Blue and Gold for pre-season starting in November.

“Ben is a talented footballer who is excited about a chance to make it in the NRL,” Head Coach Brad Arthur said.

“He will add great depth to our outside backs, which means there will be even more competition for a spot in our side - and that’s a great thing to have.”

Crooks was named in the 2013 Super League Dream Team after scoring 19 tries in 18 games, and he says he’s looking forward to making the move to Australia.

"The next two years are a vital stage of my development, and the NRL has always been a goal of mine," Crooks said.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge."

The relocation will see Crooks continue his career under Eels Head Coach Brad Arthur, and reunite him with his coach from his award-winning season in 2013, Eels assistant coach Peter Gentle.
