The Dyldam Parramatta Eels will face the New Zealand Warriors in a preliminary final on Saturday, with the winner moving on to the Holden Cup Grand Final.
After finishing the regular season in third place on the Holden Cup ladder, and with a nail-biting 32-26 win over the Broncos in week one of the finals series, the NYC Eels sat out week two of finals.
Meanwhile the New Zealand Warriors defeated the Knights 23-16 in week two of the finals series, setting up a Warriors-Eels preliminary final.
The teams have met twice already in 2014, with Parramatta taking home both victories, 50-24 at home in Round 1, and 22-19 in Round 18 at Mount Smart Stadium.
The NYC preliminary finals kicks off at 5.15pm on Saturday, September 27, followed by the NRL clash between the Penrith Panthers and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
