The Dyldam Parramatta Eels are proud to announce the creation of the Eels Member Council!

Off the back of a record breaking 20,312 Members in the 2014 season, the Eels are looking to create a more inclusive and open dialogue with Members.

The Member Council will aim to bring together a diverse range of opinions to ensure the best possible experience for Members. The Member Council will also enable the club to use Member feedback as references in decision-making processes.

Larissa Paegle, Manager, Membership and Consumer Business at the Eels, believes the Member Council will allow staff and Members to collaborate on new ideas and initiatives for the Blue and Gold Army.

"We believe it's an integral part of our culture to be able to reach out to the Members and provide them with a platform to discuss issues important to them and the club," Paegle said.

"We plan to send out a summary of the matters discussed to all Members following each Members Council meeting as well, that way everyone can have an understanding of topics discussed and the range of feedback we receive."

All Parramatta Eels Members will be given the opportunity to register their interest in being a part of the Council, with the group meeting on a bi-monthly basis to discuss a wide range of topics.

Parramatta Eels CEO Scott Seward says Member feedback is a key part of the club’s future.

"Ultimately, the Members and the fans are the lifeblood of this Club,” Seward says.

"We have been working on this initiative for a little while and it will be a great way to provide our Members with the opportunity to be involved in discussion about issues that are vital for the continual success of this great club."

"If the Members are passionate about a particular topic, we want to hear it about it."
