Early Wednesday morning, Hayne penned a message to Members and corporate partners announcing his plans to take up a conditional release from the final year of his Eels contract to head to the US and being training for American Football.
Without any opportunities locked in as yet, Hayne is hoping to earn a trial opportunity with an NFL side as he pursues a long-held dream.
