The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have today announced Paul Devlin will be joining the club as Physical Performance Manager.

A former Super League player with elite rugby union experience, Devlin comes to the Eels after working most recently for the Melbourne Storm, and has previously held strength and conditioning roles at Hull FC and the Doncaster Knights Rugby club.

“Paul is a respected strength and conditioning coach and physical performance manager who is very dedicated to his role of preparing football teams to take the field week in and week out,” Head Coach Brad Arthur said.

“I’m looking forward to him joining our staff to keep our players in peak condition.”

Devlin will oversee the training programs across the Eels’ NRL, NYC and District Representative sides.

“The Eels are a very proud club with a big pool of talent and I am keen to get stuck into pre-season training,” Devlin said.

“It was a tough decision to leave the Storm, but the opportunity to work at Parramatta with Brad Arthur and set up the physical preparation department is a really exciting one.”

“The appointment of Paul completes the team in our coaching and high performance staff for 2015, and they will commence work immediately for pre-season training,” CEO Scott Seward said.

“I am confident in their ability to guide all our grades to success in 2015.”
