Work is currently underway on the first stage of construction for the Dyldam Parramatta Eels’ new training facilities at the “Old Saleyards” site in North Parramatta.
The development of two full-size training fields is expected to be completed by February, 2015, and marks the beginning of the club’s journey towards establishing a high performance and community centre in Parramatta.
"It’s very satisfying to see the work taking place at our new training home, it’s a big step forward for our club,” Eels CEO Scott Seward said.
“I’m looking forward to seeing our players able to train at their own, dedicated facility for the first time in the new year before the 2015 season gets underway.”
Eels Chairman Steve Sharp emphasised that the construction of training fields is only the first step in the creation of a new training base for the Blue and Gold.
“We’re all excited about being able to provide our team with a first-class training facility in the heart of Parramatta,” Sharp said.
“Our board is committed to creating the best possible training environment for our players and coaching staff and our new training base in Parramatta is an important step in that process.”
"In 2015 the Eels are going to show the rugby league community that we mean business, and I’d encourage all our fans in the area to drive past and see the development starting to take place.”
