Tickets on sale for Alice Springs trial match
Tickets for next month’s NRL pre-season trial match between the Dyldam Parramatta Eels and Wests Tigers in Alice Springs are now on sale.
The NT Sport and Recreation Minister Gary Higgins said tickets would be available from local sports stores Sports Power, Hot Stuff 4 the Sporting Buff and Intersport Alice Springs.
“Alice Springs embraced the Eels’ pre-season match last year with about 3,500 spectators on hand to see the Blue and Gold army come away victorious,” he said.
“Wests Tigers will be looking to avenge that loss so I’m sure next month’s game is going to provide fantastic entertainment for rugby league fans.
“There was a strong uptake of tickets for last year’s trial match and I would urge fans to get in early to secure a seat.
“Alice Springs is certainly looking forward to welcoming our own NRL team back on home turf as well as the visitors who will travel to see the match.
“Visitors coming to see the game will enjoy our tourism spots as part of ourDo the NT campaign and provide a boost to the region’s economy.
“Nearly 1200 Territorians are now official Eels’ members, representing the biggest fan base outside of New South Wales.”
