Last week, the Dyldam Parramatta Eels hosted the first meet-and-greet for the first 20 Members of the Eels Member Council.
Made up of 20 carefully selected Members from a range of our Membership categories, the Member Council had the opportunity to meet their fellow Councillors for the first time, as well as hear from CEO Scott Seward, COO John Boulous and Manager of Membership and Consumer Business Larissa Paegle.
The Councillors included Blue and Gold fans from the South Coast, Canberra, Brisbane and even one intrepid Member who braved a four-hour flight delay and a burst plane tyre to make it to the Parramatta Leagues Club from Port Macquarie.
Across the board, Members bonded instantly over their passion for the club.
“They’re a part of our DNA,” said Kellyville local Michelle Samson.
“They represent where we live and what we stand for. Their success is our success.”
“I just love the passion at Parramatta,” Joel Williams added.
“I still remember coming to Cumberland Oval, stamping my feet in the grandstand and sitting on the hill. It’s something my daughters enjoy, and I hope my grandkids will too.”
The introductory gathering will be followed by a series of official council meetings during the 2015 season, where Councillors will discuss a wide range of topics put forward by the Club and the Council, covering game day, Membership and the fan experience.
