Dyldam Parramatta Eels recruit Adam Quinlan says he’s settling neatly into the Blue and Gold as he prepares to play in the club’s first trial match in Alice Springs on Friday night.

The Culburra junior joined the Blue and Gold at the end of January, taking to the field over the weekend for the Wentworthville Magpies’ NSW Cup trial at Camden.

Wearing the number one jersey in the first half of Wenty’s 26-4 trial win, Quinlan said it was an organic process to start fitting into the structures at a new club.

“It was good to get the first run out of the way and blow the cobwebs out, so to speak,” Quinlan said.

“Most clubs are pretty similar in how they play, it’s just different calls, so it felt comfortable at times but not so much at others.”

The move to Parramatta sees Quinlan training with the Eels’ NRL squad under the guidance of Head Coach Brad Arthur.

“Everyone’s been really welcoming the last couple of weeks and i’m starting to really enjoy it,” Quinlan said.

“[BA]’s been really good so far and I’m really looking forward to playing under him this year.”

“It’s exciting, and I can’t wait for Friday night up here.”

The Dyldam Parramatta Eels play the Wests Tigers at ANZAC Oval on Friday night, kicking off at 7.4opm local time.
