After sustaining a laceration to his knee on Friday night, Dyldam Parramatta Eels lock Anthony Watmough is currently in hospital receiving antibiotic treatment.

This treatment is a precautionary measure due to the infection risk this carries, and he is expected to take the field against the New Zealand Warriors this Saturday night for Parramatta's Round 3 match in Auckland.

A number of Eels players received treatment on the field during the Blue and Gold's Friday night clash with the Bulldogs, including Watmough, who later returned to the field to see out the game.
