Message from the Chairman

Dear Members and supporters,

Happy Easter to all Eels Members and fans across the country.

This weekend we celebrate again with our annual Easter Monday clash against Wests Tigers.

After last week's super effort against the Rabbitohs, when we witnessed some of the best Eels football in many years, the team is primed for a repeat performance. Last year we saw over 50,000 fans attend the game which created an atmosphere equal to a grand final. Make sure you show up, help cheer the Eels to victory, and be part of a game day experience you will never forget!

If - like me - you are tired of individuals continuously trying to destabilise our great club then I encourage you to make your voice heard. In May this year we will be conducting the biennial Leagues Club elections and I ask you to save the date. I'll be asking you, the Members, to send a clear message that the club now deserves a period of stability, where we remain focussed on the future rather than being stuck in the past.

Together, we have already laid a great foundation for sustained success.

A long term coach, a competitive football team, a high quality training facility and an environment where some of the game's top players want to be part of this, your club. Off the field, we have great young CEO, strong Membership growth, better fan engagement, record sponsorship and a reinvigorated Blue and Gold Army making our home stadium a fortress once again.

Your Leagues Club has returned a record profit which we are now reinvesting back into much needed facilities and infrastructure. Our proposed $100 million redevelopment will include a 1,000 space multi-level parking station, along with a fitness centre, a ten-pin bowling alley and a showroom. Refurbishments to the club will include more lounge areas to sit and relax and an Eels merchandise store in your club.

Stay strong, stay united, stay Blue and Gold.
