Dyldam Parramatta Eels Richie Fa'aoso, Peni Terepo, Manu Ma'u and John Folau will all join the Mate Ma'a Tonga squad on the Gold Coast this week as they prepare to play Toa Samoa on Saturday night.
The Tonga-Samoa match will be part of a triple-header that includes the Junior Kangaroos v Junior Kiwis and the PNG Kumuls v Fiji Bati at Cbus Super Stadium. Click through for game day details and to purchase tickets!
“We concentrated on youth in the make-up of the side and some of these guys are among the most promising young players in the NRL,” said Head Coach Ben Woolf of the squad.
“But we also have some good hard experience in Richard Fa’aoso, Anthony Tupou and Sika Manu in the forwards" he added.
Note: Robert Jennings and Anthony Tupou were originally named in the squad but have been forced to withdraw from the Tongan side due to injury. Jorge Taufua and Asipeli Fine have been brought into a 19-man squad along with John Folau called into the side.
