The Dyldam Parramatta Eels suffered a defeat at Suncorp Stadium to the Brisbane Broncos, 28-16 in their Anzac Day clash.

In the 26th minute of the game and the Broncos holding a 8-0 lead, the home side ran a backline movement down their right edge, however a forward pass as the Broncos crossed the line meant the score remain unchanged.

Eels five-eighth Corey Norman showed his knowledge of the game and some quick wit, displaying his skills as a referee to inform the Broncos of the infringement.

“I don’t know why I did that” Norman laughed after the match.

“I was just letting Matt Gillett know that it was a forward pass. I saw him carrying on that he scored so I just let him know it was a forward pass.”

Will there be a future as a referee for ‘Normz’? Check out the incident in the video above!
