The Dyldam Parramatta Eels Harold Matthews side has progressed through to the District Representative Grand Final after a crushing 38-8 victory over the Balmain Tigers.

The Eels entered the preliminary final with plenty of confidence, after winning their past nine matches and keeping their unbeaten record in 2015 intact.

Playing in wet and windy conditions, the Eels quickly worked their way into their groove and after giving away a penalty in the opening 10 minutes, the Blue and Gold went on to score three tries in the next twenty minutes to hold a comfortable 16-2 lead at half-time.

The tries kept flowing in the second half with the Eels capitalizing on some flimsy and tiring defence, and four tries in the second half to the Tigers one saw the Eels post a convincing 38-8 victory.

Travis Turnbull stared with 2 tries and 5 goals to claim Man of the Match honours.

The Eels will take on the Cronulla Sharks after they qualified with a 38-18 victory over the Canterbury Bulldogs.

The Harold Matthews Grand Final will be at Leichhardt Oval, Saturday 9 May. Kick-off at 12pm.
