Dear Members and supporters,
Round 9 of the NRL Telstra Premiership takes place this week with the mighty Eels hosting the Melbourne Storm at home in Parramatta, when we also welcome back the electric Semi Radradra to the team. The boys have really worked hard through the week on eliminating a few costly errors that let us down in Brisbane. Good luck to Brad Arthur and our boys for Sunday, and I hope to see you there for the 4pm kick off!
Early this week, there were reports that Parramatta Stadium was in the mix for a 200 million dollar rebuild. Having worked tirelessly over the last two years communicating the need for this to happen to the government, it's great to see a decision is near and what a great windfall this will be for the Eels fans.
At this time of year, I would also like to thank all members for allowing me the privilege of leading our club over the last two years. A big thank you to my board of Tom Issa, Peter Serrao and Geoff Gerard, who have done us all proud during this time.
I would urge all candidates and their associates to remember that we all have a responsibility to represent the club in a positive manner and as much as possible ensure that the name of our club is enhanced and not damaged. I am proud to have this led this club for the past two years, and wish all the candidates good luck.
A reminder that you can meet a few of your favorite Eels back at the club after the game on Sunday, so head up to the Auditorium after full time and say hello.
Stay strong, stay united, stay Blue and Gold.
