The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have been defeated 28-10 by the Melbourne Storm at Pirtek Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with the visitors posting 18 unanswered points in the second half to secure the win.

Eels winger Ryan Morgan was nearly speechless after the game, saying the side was disappointed with the performance on the field and that the Blue and Gold Army deserved better.

“Very disappointing result. We labelled that as a must win game for us and it’s very disappointing.”

“Too many errors. We were in it for most of the game there and then just errors and they ran away with it”

“It is disappointing for us and disappointing for them [the Blue and Gold Army].”

The Eels will look to turn things around next week when they take on the NZ Warriors at Pirtek Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

“We have to look to next week and turn around our season against the Warriors.”

“Our defence needs improving, 28 points just isn’t good enough.”

“There aren’t too many positives to take out of that. I thought we were pretty good in the first half, that’s probably the only positive because the second half was disappointing.”
