Dyldam Parramatta Eels captain Tim Mannah has described the Blue and Gold’s Saturday night win as an insight into the bond between his teammates at the Eels.
Speaking after his side’s 16-12 win over the Dragons, Mannah said the closely-fought win was built on the side’s brotherhood and support from the Blue and Gold Army.
“The pleasing thing about tonight was the character the boys showed,” Mannah said.
“We’ve known all along being inside camp and being on the inside and knowing what kind of group we have, but it was nice for everyone else to see the amount of pride they have in their jersey and their performance.”
“We’ve had some pretty tough times at the club over the years but - and I’m biased - but our fans have got to be one of the best in the competition.”
“The way they support us is something we don’t take for granted, and we’re very lucky and blessed to have them.”
