The Dyldam Parramatta Eels take on the Canberra Raiders this afternoon at Pirtek Stadium, for the final Blue and Gold game of the 2015 season and Eels Assistant coach Steve Murphy expects a tough clash in the middle to dictate who will come out on top.

Previewing the game thanks to Unibet, Murphy expects the Blue and Gold forwards to be ready for the challenge backing them to come victorious.

“They are extremely big, mobile pack and have a high completion rate all year so they will try roll through us,” Murphy said of the Raiders side.

“Our forwards have done a great job all year and I am sure they will be ready for the challenge this week.”

“I think it begins and ends in the middle. I think their forward pack will really try and stand over us, as they are really big men, but I am supremely confident that we will get over the top.” Murphy added.

With Round 26 a way of the Eels to say thank you to the Blue and Gold Army, Murphy is hoping the Blue and Gold can provide the fans a victory in their final outing of the 2015 season.

“Our home record hasn’t been what we wanted it to be this year. We want to turn this place into a fortress, and that’s what it has been in the past, and that’s what we are endeavouring to do this week,” Murphy said.

“We want to win and we want to finish positive.”

“The home fans deserve a solid performance from us and they will get that this week,” he added.
