Our recent Eels Create Your Taste Competition saw three winners (Jen, Brittany and Jayel) each winning themselves an awesome Eels Experience at our Round 26 clash against the Canberra Raiders at Pirtek Stadium on Sunday 6 September.

We caught up with first prized winner Jen Taylor, as judged by Eels legend Nathan Cayless, who won 2x VIP Hospitality tickets along with attending the pre-game on field warm up addressed by the Assistant Coaches, the post-gram press conference and a signed 2015 Eels jersey and Eels supporters pack (jersey, cap, flag, scarf and football).

Jen, who became an Eels Member for the first time in 2015 after supporting the team since the 80’s was grateful for the opportunity.

“It was thoroughly enjoyable and I was grateful and humbled by the opportunity,” Taylor said after a visit to the sideline to watch the Blue and Gold up close.

“It was an eventful and fun-filled day from the get-go. It’s definitely a milestone memory of my Parra Eels’ experience by far.”

Taylor’s love for the Blue and Gold extends beyond just the home games she attends. Taylor created a Parramatta Eels display in her home as part of her Events Management Diploma assessment, which showcases her love for being part of the Blue, and Gold Army.

“I love being an Eels Member because of the feeling of being a part of a larger family,” Taylor said.

“The Eels have been my team as a kid growing up in the 80s.  I grew up in the Parramatta area and have an affinity for the place and its people and there are plenty of other passionate, die-hard Eels’ fans like myself!"

And her highlight of the day? Watching Semi Radradra score a double to beat Steve Ella's club record of tries in a season set in 1982.

“The Semi Radradra tries had me dancing in the corporate box to his signature, try-scoring song, Waidebala.”
