The Dyldam Parramatta Eels can confirm the Blue and Gold will take on the Penrith Panthers in Round 5 of the NRL Telstra Premiership in 2016, one of a number of fixtures announced ahead of the official NRL draw announcement in the coming days.

The Eels will face the Panthers at Pirtek Stadium at 4pm on Sunday April 3, 2016, broadcast live on the Nine Network.

The "Battle of the West" returns to Pirtek Stadium for the first time since 2014, after the Eels defeated the Panthers in their two 2015 clashes at Penrith's Pepper Stadium and Darwin’s TIO Stadium.

The Eels will also take on the Panthers in a pre-season trial, with all three grades in action at Penrith’s Pepper Stadium on Saturday February 20.
